Built with a fully custom, made-in-Japan, Black Samurai Sashiko Denim, then enhanced by Dimension Polyant’s sailcloth lamination technology for waterproofness and durability.
Featuring an exclusive one-off morale patch, designed by Jiro Yaguchi of Onizuka Tattoo in Los Angeles, and handmade via centuries-old traditional techniques in Kyoto, Japan by the world's number one samurai armor craftsman, Tatsuhito Imamura-san.

The Project
This project took many months to complete due to the fully customized material and construction of a well known bag from GORUCK.
The GR1 has been around for about a decade and started to show its age in comparison to other products on the market. We wanted to bring new life to the product through custom materials and artwork. I work with the creative team at Carryology to source materials and create custom components that make this product special. We source domestic manufacturing finish the denim with a lamination and construct this one of a kind bag.
